Adobe CLP Options

The CLP program is for authorized departments of the university only.

Media (CD/DVD) is not provided with license. Media must be ordered with at least 1 license.

Only one set of media needs to be ordered for the life of the current license agreement. I.E. Customer can order many licenses at different times but only needs to order the media once however a set of media can be ordered for each license if the customer wants.

AOO = New Licence - single use license. Can be loaded on one* machine only.

PPM = Upgrade Plan (formerly Maintenance) protects user from upgrades for the length of the plan. We are on a 2 year (ending 11/30/2011) plan right now. If a customer orders CS4/5 and buys* into the upgrade plan also they will get an automatic upgrade package from Adobe when a new version is announced.

*Must be purchased at the same time as the license.

RNW = Renewal Upgrade Plan (formerly Renewal Maintenance) - when the upgrade plan is close to finishing the customer must purchase the renewal plan to keep their privileges for future upgrades.

CONC = Concurrent License - allows the customer to load the media on many machines at the same time but only allows usage times the number of licenses purchased.

I.E. Customer buys 5 licenses and loads the media onto 20 machines. Only 5 users can be operating the program at any one time. It is up to the customer to keep records for auditing purposes.

**Home use of Adobe branded products

Notwithstanding the terms of the product license agreement, when such a product is licensed through Adobe’s Open Options licensing program (not including Student Licensing, Site Licensing, and Term Licensing), the primary user of the computer on which such software is lawfully installed may install a second copy of such software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable computer or a computer located at his or her home, provided that the software on the portable or home computer is not used at the same time as the software on the primary computer.
