Create an Account: You must create an account in order to shop
online with us. Click on the "Join" button located on the top
right hand corner of the header or the "Create an Account" tab
located in the menu on the left hand side of this page. After you have
created an account, you will have to click on the coursebooks tab in the
header to return to this page. If you already have an account with us,
please click on either of the "Login" tabs.
If you already know
the titles of the books you require, you may use the Advanced
Search option and proceed to step 5. If you need to look up your texts
by course, please proceed to step 2.

Have your course codes and sections handy: Coursebooks are
listed by course codes. Please have the course codes with the section
numbers as they appear on your timetable readily available. Please
note that not all courses will be listed. The course list is updated regularly,
so keep checking back. If your course does not appear in the list, please
go to your first day of classes to obtain your booklist.

Select a Campus: Please select either the St. George (includes
the Victoria University Bookstore), Erindale or Scarborough Campus from
the menu on the left of this page. Coursebooks for Other Schools, online
coursesand all School of Continuing Studies courses will be listed under
the St. George Campus.

Select a Subject Area: Select the subject area that your course
falls under. The subjects are listed alphabetically by the 3 letter code
at the begining of your course code, i.e.

Select a Course Code: Scroll
down until you find your course code. If available, the instructor's name
appears under the course code. Please make sure that the section code
is the same. The section code appears immediately following the course
code. There are no spaces. Different sections of a course may have
different books. If your particular section or course code does not appear
on the site, please go to your first day of class to obtain your booklist.

5.
Add your books to your basket: The
required and recommended books for your course will be displayed. The
books are listed alphabetically by title. Please be sure to take note
of whether the book is REQUIRED or RECOMMENDED for your particular course.
A book may be used in more than one course so make sure that you are looking
at the requirement level for your particular course.
Select "NEW" or "USED*" from the drop down menu. Once
you have clicked the "add" tab, you will be directed to your
shopping basket. Please read and follow the directions for your shopping
basket carefully. When you are ready, click the "Continue Shopping"
Tab at the bottom of the page. You will not be able to add items to your
basket without creating an account or logging in.
Remember!
You can add items from other departments to your shopping basket as well.
Make sure to check out our clothing department for the latest U of T fashions
and our stationery department for all of your back-to-school needs.
6.
Submit Your Order:
When you have completed shopping, review your basket. Any time you make
changes to your basket, you must click the "Recalculate" tab.
Remember to chose either shipping or pick-up (pick up locations can be
selected ont eh following page). When you are sure all the information
is correct, click "Checkout".Please
note that once you have clicked this button your order has been placed.
Please make sure that your order is correct before submitting.
You will be directed
to a page to confirm your shipping and billing information and to submit
your credit card number. Please double check to make sure that your
credit card number and expiry date are correct.
If you selected pick up you will be asked to specify a pick up location
and the name of the person who will be picking up the order if different
from the cardholder. The cardholder should always be listed in the "Bill
to" section.
if you selected shipping, you will be asked for a ship to and bill to
address. Please make sure that the credit card holder information is in
the "Bill to" section. You will also be asked if you would like
to consolidate your order or have it shipped in parts if not all items
are available (a shipping charge will apply to each order).
Once all of this information has been entered click "Submit Order".
7.
Confirm your Order: A screen will pop up with all of the order
information. Please double check to make sure that all information is
correct. If it is correct, click "yes". Your order number will
appear on the screen - please take note of this number for your records.
If changes need to be made, Click "no" and you will be returned
to your shopping basket.
8.
Wait for Confirmation:
You
will receive an e-mail confirmation that your order was received by the
U of T Bookstore. This is a confirmation only. You will receive a separate
e-mail notification when your order has been shipped or is ready for pick-up.
Please wait for this confirmation before you proceed to your pick-up
location.
*N.B. If used books
are not available for this particular book, you will only be able to purchase
a new copy. We cannot guarantee stock on used books. Used books cannot
be backordered. If a used copy of a book is not in stock, you will be
contacted and asked if you would like to substitute a new copy. Otherwise,
the backorder will be cancelled. |
