Here,
in the Special Orders Department, we pride ourselves on our efficient and
diligent ability to research, locate, and order in-print books (as opposed
to used or out-of-print books) from local or foreign publishers. Unlike
some chain stores (who will remain nameless) that sometimes refuse to order
in books from obscure sources or overseas publishers for their customers,
our motto is, as long as it's in print and we can contact the publisher,
we can try our best to obtain your book for you. This is a free service
provided by the U of T Bookstore.
As a general rule, orders
from local, Canadian-based distributors take approximately 2-4 weeks and orders
from foreign or overseas publishers may take anywhere from 4-8 weeks. These
times always depend on book availability, of course.
